The Lost Christmas Eve- ATheatrical Dance ProductionFour Shows only!! At the Rio Rancho Performing Arts Center 301 Loma Colorado, Rio Rancho, NM December 17th, 18th & 19th, 2010Hear the phenomenal music and see the incredible story of the Trans Siberian Orchestra's LOST CHRISTMAS EVE album come to life through ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz, and tap dance The scene is a New York City square on Christmas Eve, in present times. Around the square is a church, a grand old hotel, a toy store and a blues bar. In the story an Angel is sent to earth to find the human that best represents the true meaning of Christmas in the modern world. The angel observes all kinds of people in each of these places who, through music and dance, touch the lives of others on this magical night. During her search the Angel discovers a bitter, lonely old man and she finds she can not turn away from his soul in pain. With the help of other ethereal beings and humans, she gently guides the Old Man to a reunion with his long lost son, on Christmas Eve. The music is a powerful collaboration of classical, Christmas and Rock-n-Roll music, like only the Trans-Siberian Orchestra can do. The story, also written by the TSO, and adapted to this performance, deals with modern day issues and overcoming them through the age-old truth “Do unto others and you would have done unto you.” The only speaking is done through a narrator, with the performers acting out some of the scenes. The dance is ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz and tap and moves from high energy excitement to soothing inspiration. Stay tuned for ticket information!
